Rebekah Ho | Sediment

Gam Gallery is pleased to present a solo exhibition of photography by Rebekah Ho in conjunction with Capture Photography Festival.

April 21 - May 12, 2017

Opening reception: Friday, April 21 8:00pm

Sediment explores transient moments of nostalgia, personal memory and the lapses in time between the production of a photograph and the memories it evokes. The exhibition is based on a series of film photographs, "Film is Not Dead" in which Rebekah documents her travels, gatherings with friends and family, and moments of contemplation. The images are whimsical and intimate, appearing to be suspended in time, inviting only glimpses into intimate memories.

Rebekah Ho is a Chinese Canadian photographer and writer currently residing in Hong Kong. She is inspired by things that refuse to be left behind—distant memories, found objects, and slow farewells. Though her works often focuses on the past, they always convey a sense of hope for the future.
